Description

Sometimes called a Fire Plow, this type of friction fire is perhaps the oldest known method of fire starting: rubbing two sticks together. This is definitely one of the most challenging methods of primitive fire starting.

This trough fire kit includes:
(1) Yucca Fire Board with trough already notched and burned in.
(1) Yucca Trough Spindle. Larger diameter than the hand drill spindle, and approx: 18-20 inches long.
(1) 12' Length of Jute. (makes 8-10 nests)

Our Yucca spindles and fire boards are harvested and crafted by hand. Each spindle and fire board has been burned in for quick smoke, right out of the package.
